The Collegial Council of the National Electric Energy Agency – ANEEL approved this Tuesday (26/07) the Auction project N° of volt-ampere (MVA) in the transformation capacity of substations, in addition the maintenance in service of 1,123 km of transmission lines and 2,200 MW in converter stations. The auction is scheduled for December 16 at B3’s headquarters in São Paulo.
The six lots of the public notice have an investment expectation of 3.27 billion reais, with a forecast of the creation of 5,674 direct jobs. The projects, with a completion period of 42 to 60 months, will cover the states of Espírito Santo, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pará, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia and São Paulo.
Lots 5 and 6 are unique in that they concern the revitalization and maintenance of existing projects to extend their useful life. In the case of lot 5, the revitalization of the control and teleprotection systems of the Garabi I and II converters, in Rio Grande do Sul, aims to guarantee the continuity of the international interconnection with Argentina. Lot 6 is for the implementation of a new service at Centro Substation, São Paulo, by changing the voltage level from 230 to 345 kilovolts (kV) in an insulated busbar (GIS) and replacing transformations.

The draft public notice and documentation relating to the six lots were reviewed by the company under public consultation No. 24/2022, which received 96 contributions from 16 participants, of which 38 were fully or partially accepted. The text approved by ANEEL will follow in the coming days for examination by the Federal Court of Auditors.
The advice is expected to be approved by the ANEEL Board in November 2022, including the adjustments suggested by the TCU. A technical clarification workshop on the main points of the event is scheduled for October 21.
