The final preparations are in place for the 2022 edition of scrap metal fair, which is hosted by the Recycling Today Media Group and will take place September 13-14 at the Kentucky Exhibition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
Billed as a live equipment demonstration event, Scrap Expo will also feature programming offering updates and information on processing techniques and panel discussions on preparing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap for the evolving scrap metal market. 2020s.
Expo attendees come from the scrap metal recycling, demolition, auto salvage and other industry sectors that generate, prepare and sell scrap metal products.
The nearly 50 exhibiting companies at Scrap Expo will include manufacturers of scrap material handling, shearing, baling, shredding and sorting equipment and companies that offer recycling-specific services and software.

Scrap Expo Programming includes two sessions dedicated to the preparation and marketing of scrap metal, one on ferrous materials and the other on non-ferrous ones. Each day at lunchtime will feature a live podcast recording. On Tuesday, September 13, Brett Ekart of Idaho-based United Metals Recycling is recording an episode of his popular podcast “A Scrap Life” with guest Norman Wright of Colorado-based Stadium Auto Parts. The next day at noon, John Sacco of California-based Sierra International Machinery takes the stage to interview Alter Trading CEO Jay Robinovitz for a recording of his “Pile of Scrap” podcast.
The remaining Scrap Expo sessions will add to the experience of buying and finding equipment. A series of technicians from the following companies will provide insight into developments related to several types of processing equipment or services: Company Wrench, Genesis Attachments, GreenSpark Software, Sennebogen LLC and Sierra International Machinery.
