The city of Texarkana, Texas Parks, and Recreation Department is hosting its fall garage sale this Saturday, October 23 at Spring Lake Park. They will also have a place to recycle your old or unwanted electronics. It all starts at 8 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m.

You know the saying someone junk is someone else’s treasure. If you love garage sales, you are going to love this one.

As for the recycling event, there are items that will not be accepted so be sure to check the list below for items that are accepted and items that will not be accepted.

Items not accepted

No acids
No CRT or tube TV
No film, photos or x-rays
No furniture or filing cabinets
No household appliances
No magnetic tapes of any kind
No microwave
No devices containing oil or PCBs
No paints / liquids of any kind
No radioactive materials
(like ION scanners)
No refrigerants
