You may have heard of the lack of donors to the American Red Cross over the past two years. The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented many people from giving life and it is not improving.

Today the Red Cross is sounding the alarm again. Agency officials say a sharp drop in participation in blood donors has contributed to the lowest level of blood inventory after the summer in six years, and donors of all blood groups – especially the type O – and platelet donors are “urged to make an appointment to donate now and in the coming weeks to help meet patient needs this fall.”

IF YOU DONATE YOU WILL BE REWARDED

If you donate this month you will receive a limited edition Red Cross football inspired t-shirt, while supplies last, as well as a free haircut coupon via email from Sport Clips Haircuts.
If you want to wait until next October, you’ll receive a link by email to claim a free $ 5 e-gift card from a merchant of your choice.
