
CUTTACK: In a significant move, the Orissa High Court on Tuesday dedicated e-libraries to district bar associations in all 30 districts of the state, including bars in the towns of Koraput and Rourkela.
Delivering the keynote address on the occasion in virtual mode, Chief Justice S Muralidhar said the aim of dedicating the e-Libraries to the Bars was to help young aspirants achieve their ambition of becoming good lawyers.
The Chief Justice said the e-libraries will help aspiring lawyers stay well-informed with the latest legal decisions from Supreme Courts and High Courts. He hopes that the associations will make the best use of the digital facilities.
All India Reporter (AIR) Online, Manupatra and CD-ROM version of Orissa Law Times (OLT) have been made available in electronic libraries provided to associations. The infrastructure and journal subscriptions were provided by the HC.
Speaking on this occasion, Justice Arindam Sinha stressed the importance of electronic library in the legal profession. He hopes this provision will help young lawyers keep abreast of developments in the field of law.
