INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A “music store for music lovers” is celebrating reopening to customers for the first time in over a year and a half.
After spending more than two decades in Indianapolis, Luna Music owner Todd Robinson made the difficult decision to close the interior of the store when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Now the sound of a bustling store is music to his ears.
“It’s so brilliant,” Robinson said. “You know I’ve been without hearing the front door bell for so long, that every time I hear it now I just have a little smile that someone wants to come in and see what’s going on. past.”
While Moon Music has been closed inside, Robinson says their fans have kept them alive by supporting them online.
“I looked forward to opening these doors as a thank you to all who have accompanied us during this time,” he said.
Robinson thinks it’s more than music that brings people back.
“We’re just trying to create a nice atmosphere for you to come in and have a look,” he said. “Maybe buy something, maybe go out, maybe learn something you didn’t know before [or] maybe we are learning something that we didn’t know before.
For those coming back for the first time in a long time, he says they’ve stocked up on thousands of new musical items.
“There are all genres covered,” Robinson said. “I really feel like there is something for everyone, whether it’s a book, an LP, a CD or a tape.
Robinson says Luna Music would like to buy your records as well. You can sell them or buy them in line or in store.
