Obituary of Damian Hibbard (1996 – 2021) – New Berlin, WI

Damien Michael Hibbard
Damian, from Waukesha, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the age of 25. He was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin on May 15, 1996. The loving and worldly son of Mike and Shawn (Ribar) Hibbard. Damian is survived by his uncles and aunts Jeff and Kathy Ribar, Sherry and Jay Groothousen, Cindy and Lester Belan, Joel and Cathy Ribar, Jean and Bill Rawlings, Robert Hibbard, Richard and Belinda Hibbard, Chuck and Susan Hibbard, Tom and Trish Schreiner. Nieces, nephews and cousins, Michele and Greg Kuechler, Michael and Becki Ribar, Peter and Angela Belan, Nathan and Kristen Belan, Ian Ribar, Dylan Ribar, Haley and Ben Burns, Samantha Schreiner, Jake Schreiner and many other lives that he touched.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Glen and Ann Hibbard (paternal) and Jacob and Genny Ribar (step-grandmother) and Joyce Richmond (maternal).
He is survived by his beloved pet cat Chance, adoring her constantly. Preceded in death by Truman, also his pet cat.
Damian was a compassionate, caring, loving and sympathetic person. He would help anyone in need and revolved around the less fortunate.
Damian held various jobs but his dream was to become a record producer with his label Dreams2realities. His ultimate goal was to open his own club. In his studio he had an extensive collection of synthesizers and keyboards. His precious possession was his blender. He collected rare first edition albums and CDs, often from European countries.
As a family, we recently took a vacation to Colorado, where he visited a friend from high school. He loved the mountains and hiking so much that he talked about moving there. On a trip to Florida he got the chance to swim in the ocean for the first time and loved it.
He had a voracious love of reading and read for hours a day. If there was a topic that sparked their interest, we would research them until they knew all about it. He had a photographic memory and could remember events or stories in detail.
Many nights were spent on our patio talking and roasting his favorite s’mores. He was in charge of the music and had a lot of playlists. Damian was a very intelligent and witty young man who had a silly side.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd. (Corner of Hwy J & JJ, 4 blocks south of Interstate 94), Waukesha, from 1:00 p.m. until ‘at 3:00 p.m. on duty. Most of Damian’s clothes bore the Adidas name.
